Avoca Beach - North Avoca- Central Coast

Avoca/North Avoca, located between Terrigal and Copacabana towards the southern end Central Coast, is situated on a no through road and the emphasis on this place is relaxation and the beach. As you drive through this quaint seaside village with the Pacific Ocean on one side of you and architecturally designed residences on the other, sitting majestically in the steep cliff tops, it makes for an impressive picture.

Pristine Avoca Beach runs right along the peninsula taking in North Avoca and Avoca and is patrolled Avoca Beachthroughout the summer months. There is a beautiful rock pool situated below the surf club about half way along the beach. Avoca Beach is one of the locations from which the Central Coast Surf School operates, they have been introducing new-comers to the sport & lifestyle of surfing for 10 years. The Pines Charity Surf Classic is held on Avoca Beach annually and attracts world champion surfers. Avoca Lake, located inland behind the beach is a great sheltered swimming spot for young children. At Heazlett Park you will find Aquamuse Aquatic Hire - hires a modern range of human-powered pedal boats, kayaks and surf skis on weekends and during school holidays, September through to April.

Avoca and North Avoca can be the perfect romantic getaway or fantastic family holiday. It has world class dining and accommodation to choose from. Perhaps a stroll through the local Art Gallery, whale watching (seasonal only) from Captain Cook Lookout or you may wish to simply enjoy the peace and tranquility with a picnic in one of several foreshore reserves. If you are looking for something a little more ‘up beat’ the Avoca Beach Picture Theatre plays host to the latest films.

A little further south is Cockrone Lagoon, near MacMasters Beach, which is also popular with families for a paddle or a swim. With major shopping precincts and many dining and accommodation options close by Avoca/North Avoca is an ideal holiday destination or even a day trip.
