Woy Woy - Central Coast

Woy Woy (meaning 'Deep Water') is located on the western shores of Brisbane Water along the Woy Woy channel. There is plenty of fishing and boating to be had with deep water frontages making Woy Woy an ideal spot to launch large watercraft. The picturesque park on the foreshore is a perfect spot to picnic and take a dip in the tidal baths. Daily pelican feedings held at 3.00 pm by Fishermans Wharf. The town centre of Woy Woy is situated close to the railway station which is serviced by frequent express trains, making this a convenient travel option. Central Coast Ferries operate a regular ferry service from Woy Woy - Saratoga - Hardys Bay - Ettalong - Wagtstaff. They also run from Woy Woy - Empire Bay (via Saratoga & Davistown).

This coastal town plays host to two very popular annual festivals held in November - the Brisbane Water Oyster Festival and Blessing of the Fleet. They are held on Woy Woy foreshore providing plenty of live entertainment, food and wine tasting.

The Indoor Peninsula Leisure Centre provides an Olympic size pool and fantastic gymnasium offering activities and classes for all ages and offers casual memberships for those just visiting the area. The centrally located Deepwater Shopping Plaza is where you will find plenty of parking and a great variety of stores. Woy Woy has numerous restaurants and cafes as well as pubs and clubs. With Umina, Ettalong, Pearl Beach and Gosford all within close proximity, you will find there is plenty to do.
